Del Rio's Zero Waste Program
Del Rio was recognized for our Zero Waste efforts at the OUSD Board Meeting on November 8th. We received a check for $500.00 from Waste Management, and we even made the news! Read the articles in the San Diego Union Tribune and Coast News (links below).
Oceanside Schools Recognized for Reducing the Most Waste in One Semester/
The OUSD 2018-19 Student/Parent Handbook is now available for viewing online. The handbook is available in both English and Spanish. Parents can also download a PDF version of this guide. to access this year’s guide.

Join us Thanksgiving morning at the 13th Annual PMCU O’side Turkey Trot. Adult registration is $36 and children under 17 is $25. All participants can designate our school as their beneficiary and $5 of your registration comes back to us at NO COST to you! This is a major fundraiser for Oceanside Unified Schools. |
Children who turn 4 years of age by September 1st, may qualify to participate in the Oceanside Unified School District State Preschool Program. Preschool registration packets are available in the office. THERE ARE STILL SPACES AVAILABLE FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR! Outside food that will be shared with others should be SB12 compliant. Use this link to help determine appropriate snacks. Healthier Generation
- Items must be SB12 compliant (Smart Snacks calculator determines if the snack is appropriate: low sugar, sodium and fat)
- Store bought (this would allow us to know all ingredients for the safety of the students with allergies)
- Pre-packaged portions (this will prevent cross contamination)
